History of Park
Shady Grove Park was introduced in the early 1900's.
At the time the Park use to sit on 50 to 60 Acres and now is only on 23 acres.
In 1972 there was a dance hall that would also serve as a roller skating rink.
Thousands of people used to ride a street car to the park to cool off on a hot day,
The current owners are looking for any information on the where-abouts of the brass merry-go-round that used to be here.
